Two Customized Battery Mining Locomotives Shipped to Africa

RUIXIN has completed the container loading and dispatch of two customized 2.5-ton battery mining locomotives, together with drilling rig accessories, for a gold mine in Africa. The locomotives were supplied for rail haulage at the mine, with the track gauge customized to match the customer’s existing railway. Each unit features IGBT speed control, a 31.2 V, 315 Ah lithium battery, and a customer-specified semi-enclosed open cab. The specified haulage capacity is 20 tons.

Customized Configuration for Existing Mine Railway

The customer required the locomotives to operate on the existing railway at the gold mine. To meet this requirement, the track gauge was customized to match the customer’s railway infrastructure.

Each locomotive also features a semi-enclosed open cab specified by the customer. This configuration was supplied according to the requested operating and equipment requirements.

The locomotives combine IGBT speed control with a 31.2 V, 315 Ah lithium battery. The specified haulage capacity is 20 tons, supporting the intended rail transportation application at the mine.
