Pneumatic Water Well Drilling Rig Manufacturer Takes You to Understand the Inspections During Operation
To ensure the error-free operation of the drilling rig and improve construction efficiency, certain necessary inspections are required during its operation. The pneumatic water well drilling rig manufacturer takes you through the inspections that need to be performed while the rig is in operation.
- Environmental Inspection
This preparatory work mainly involves checking for obstacles that may affect the drilling rig’s movement within the designated operation area, such as large pits and boulders. If any are found, remove them immediately. The rig cannot pass if the road width is less than 4 meters or the turning radius is less than 4.5 meters; it can only move after the road is repaired and widened.
- Electrical Equipment Inspection
- Carriage: Carefully check if the welding structure of the carriage has cracks, if the support rods are damaged, and if bolts and steel wire ropes are protruding or defective. Inspect whether the upper and lower rod feeders are damaged, if bolts are loose, and if the tensioning device is tightened.
- Drilling Operation Part: Check if the screws of the slewing mechanism are loose, if lubrication is sufficient, and if gears are damaged. Verify that the front joint bolts, the connection between the bearing cover and the hollow main shaft are not loose, that the dust removal part is not blocked, and that the electromagnetic brake of the electric winch is effective.
- Traveling Part: Ensure the tightness of belts, chains, and crawlers is appropriate, that the clutch is flexible, and that the moving gear of the rig’s lifting mechanism is disengaged.
- Electrical Part: Inspect all electrical components before starting work. Eliminate any defects promptly and move the operating handle to the stop position. Short circuits and overloads in the electrical system are protected by air switches and fuses. Immediately shut down the machine for inspection and handling if a short circuit or overload occurs.
- Drill Tool Inspection
The pneumatic water well drilling rig manufacturer reminds you to carefully inspect the drill pipe joints for disengagement or cracks, check if the threads are stripped, verify that the working components are intact, examine the impactor housing for cracks or weld defects, and inspect the alloy inserts (or blocks) on the drill bit for poor welding, fragmentation, or breakage before starting the machine. Address any issues promptly if detected.
High temperatures in water well drilling rigs generally fall into three categories: high gearbox temperature, high hydraulic oil temperature, and high engine coolant temperature. In fact, the causes of high gearbox temperature are quite straightforward. The main reasons are that the dimensions and shape of bearings, gears, or the housing do not meet standards, or the oil used is substandard.
For excessively high hydraulic oil temperature, based on hydraulic theory and maintenance experience in recent years, the primary causes are rapid heat generation and slow heat dissipation. If the oil inlet pipelines of the hydraulic pump and hydraulic oil tank are not sealed, the oil inlet filter element is clogged, or the hydraulic system pipelines are not unobstructed, internal leakage of the hydraulic pump will cause the hydraulic oil to generate a large amount of heat, leading to a rapid rise in hydraulic oil temperature due to overheating.
Clogged internal channels of the hydraulic oil radiator, excessive dust on the external surface of the radiator, or insufficient air flow will prevent the hydraulic oil from passing through the hydraulic oil radiator effectively. This may result in slow heat dissipation of the hydraulic oil, causing it to overheat.
