Safety regulations for integrated and separated surface drill rigs

Safety regulations for integrated and separated surface drill rigs
  • Operators must always keep safety in mind and must be familiar with the safety procedures at the workplace.
  • The operator must be reliable and trustworthy, and familiar with all safety procedures.
  • Do not bypass safety systems for convenience. If any safety devices or protective instruments are removed, the equipment must never be started or operated.
  • Before starting or operating the equipment, the operator must ensure that no accidents or material damage will occur.
  • Do not use equipment if there are issues with the device or if the work area poses safety hazards (such as areas prone to collapse or working on slopes during rain).
  • The equipment must not be used for any purpose other than those specified and must not exceed its intended usage characteristics.
  • To ensure the safety of both equipment and personnel, at least two people must be present for each hydraulic drill during operation.
  • When moving the hydraulic drill rig, the drill frame must be lifted off the ground, and the warning horn must be sounded before moving the drill rig.
  • When reversing the drilling rig, there must be a dedicated person to direct from behind.
  • When pulling cables, you must wear insulating gloves and rubber-soled shoes.
  • When using a hydraulic drill for the first time, you must initially use the air intake to drill down to the depth of one impactor before switching the air pressure to the drilling air intake to continue drilling.
  • When drilling, you must use the upper card head to support the rod.
  • While the borehole drill is operating, do not repair or handle the equipment.
  • When relocating the down-the-hole drill to a distant site, the drill mast must be retracted and placed back on the support frame.
  • When operating a down-the-hole drill on a downhill slope, the slope angle must not exceed 20 degrees.
  • When operating on a slope, an open-hole drill rig must not work downhill; it is only allowed to work uphill to prevent the drill rig from tipping forward.
  • Do not adjust the positioning or movement until the hole is completely drilled.
